Travelling and working in challenging and sometimes hostile environment could ,at some points ,lead to difficult and Emergency situations in the field.Anyone deployed in a dangerous theatre of operations must be equipped and have acquired the right skills to respond to First Aid cases.Due to the escalation of armed violence and terrorist attacks, Humanitarian Aid workers ,Defense and security forces and local population are increasingly confronted with situations that degenerate, even damaging their physical integrity. The Protocol ABCDE or MARCH RYAN is used to remember the order of assessment with the purpose to : “Treat First What Kills First” The course meets the following minimum objectives: - Assessing risks/dangers on the scene through observation of the immediate environment; - Act safely to treat vital physical damage, during a situation of violence or attack - Be able to apply to yourself and/or a third person first aid gestures caused by an injury of firearm, a knife or an explosion/blast; - Follow a well-structured casualty care protocol derived from combat first aid been taught in the army and elsewhere combat field. The management and first aid care of one or more injury/casualties in a tactical environment, including the following three phases: - Care Under Fire (hot zone) - Tactical Field Care (warm zone) - Tactical Evacuation Care (cold zone) ‘In accordance with the Principles of Guidelines Instruction set by the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care’
